Leadership Study Groups will open soon for registration. Please contact Barbara Gannon if you are interested in enrolling.
Leadership Study groups are an educational initiative designed as a series of small group conversations that are conducted remotely via teleconference. These conversations will explore identified leadership topics as the members work together to increase their individual leadership capacity and build their professional network. The study group participants will be guided by a facilitator, enlightened by guest speakers, and encouraged by colleagues as they learn to appreciate the richness gained when all employees are engaged and recognized for their diverse perspectives.
The National Transit Institute (NTI) announced the third Transit Maintenance Leadership Workshop, which will be held April 10-14, 2017 in Long Beach, CA. Targeting senior-level transit maintenance professionals, the workshop curriculum will support the development of leadership skills, explore strategic maintenance planning, facilitate the sharing of best practices, and build a network of transit maintenance professionals.
Two previous workshops were held in Dallas, TX and Louisville, KY. They were attended by maintenance leaders representing transit agencies across the country. Those who attended the workshop found it to be a unique learning experience that allowed them the opportunity to connect with other maintenance professionals. The Transit Maintenance Leadership workshop was developed by NTI in partnership with GannonConsult, supported by the Federal Transit Administration.
More details about the December course will be released later this year.
The job of a General Manager/Senior Leader can be a lonely one:
You can't "vent" in your office
You can't take it home
You can't talk it through with your staff because they expect you to have the answers
Is it time to hire a trusted and confidential advisor?
If you want plain talk - then invest in you.
